Bradford Stokes,86, of Merritt, NC passed Thursday, July 25, 2024 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
His service is 11:00 AM, Sunday, August 4, 2024 New Bern Eastern Missionary Baptist Association Headquarters, 885 Hwy. 306 N Grantsboro. The interment will follow at St. Mark FWB Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his sister, Erma Bell, Bayboro; three brothers, Von Stokes, William Stokes, Merritt and Dewey Stokes (Shirley) of Reelsboro.
To the Stokes family I send my sincerest condolences. I had the pleasure of working with Brad in the Boston area for several years. He was as fine a man as I ever worked with and a credit to the human race. I am sure he will be sadly missed by many. Prayers from the Chechile family.

WOW! Even now as I think on the right words to say, my heart is soo heavy! TRULY, Brad was one of a kind! During the times I've know him he ALWAYS said what he meant and meant what he said! Absolutely "yes" death is a part of life but losing Brad....WOW!
