Mary Wells

Ms. Mary a 24 year neighbor of mine's was like a Mother, Friend, Confidant to me. She exemplified ALL that was GOOD. Personally she was mountains of welcoming INSPIRATION to me when I moved into the Cove. She ALWAYS persuaded me to look at the positive side of PEOPLE and SITUATIONS which arrived on any given day. I could call her or she would call me and we'd talk for hours. She'd always say ...'I ain't gonna hold you too long ' or she'd say 'to make a long story short '...but our conversations were NEVER short. She'd talk about her younger doings which I found so befitting to her later character. She loved her front yard bushes which every morning she would be in the yard trimming. I'd holler GOOD MORNING MARILYN and she'd holler back Good Morning BETTY..how Y'ALL doing over there ? I'd say fine and she'd say you can't beat that with a raw egg and an egg beater'. Being humble, gracious and forgiving to life is what she taught me and just a very very tiny piece of all I will miss with her transitioning.
