Psalms 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
I will always love you James. Love always Shun
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Pope-Cox-Catron Family
The South Side High School Class of 1970 would like to express our sincerest condolences in the loss of our beloved classmate Rev. James Austin, Jr. Rev. Austin has been a friend to many of us for more than 50 years. He most recently attended our class Christmas Brunch in December 2023. We will forever cherish and hold dear this time and many other memories of Rev. Austin. We pray for the Father's comfort for his family and many friends during this time of bereavement.
Whereas, it has pleased Our Omniscient God to receive unto Himself our brother James, we are comforted by the words of Our Savior in Revelation 21:4 that "God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Condolences to your family and friends you will truly be missed. Until we meet again my friend.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
