Obituary For Syvira Drake Anderson

Services were held for Mrs. Syvira Drake Anderson, 94, at Unity Springs MB Church on Monday, December 23, 2024, with Rev. Melvin Rush officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson was born on November 20, 1930 to the late Dalmer and Laura Miller Drake in Dekalb, MS. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an carly age and joined Unity Springs Missionary Baptist

She united in holy matrimony to John R. Anderson. To this union, four beautiful children were born.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dalmer Drake; mother, Laura Miller Drake: husband, John R. Anderson; two sisters, Vera Drake Clark and Orah Germany; brother, Dalmer L. Drake; two brothers-in-law, Berlyn Clark and Jefferson Kirkland and stepson, Robert Anderson.

She leaves a lifetime of memories to be cherished by her sons, Wallace (Juelene) Drake, Anthony (Viola) Drake, and Johnny N. Anderson; daughters, Linda (Roy) Houston and Mavis Anderson; brother, Hearther Drake; sisters, Johnnie Drake and Gloria Drake Kirkland; sister-in-law, Debra Drake; and one aunt, Johnnie Hackney. She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, neph-ews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
