Tracy Lee Rumph, Sr was born in Perry, GA on August 23, 1964, to the late Horace D. Rumph and late Ethel Lee (Roberts) Rumph.
Tracy was educated in the Houston County School System. He attended Job Corps and Albany State University before enlisting in the United States Navy. After completing his second enlistment in the United States Navy, Tracy settled in Richmond, VA.
Tracy lead a successful career as a welder. His expertise in welding led him to teaching welding at Virginia Commonwealth University. Capitalizing on his welding skills, by 2005, Tracy took his welding career to a higher level, gaining employment as a civilian contractor in Afghanistan. Tracy also obtained his bachelor's degree in construction management.
Tracy was affectionately known as "King Rumph" by family and many close friends. Always smiling and laughing, he filled the lives of those around him with love, joy, positivity and encouragement. Tracy loved being around family, enjoyed traveling and was a lover of music. He also was a life time fan the Dallas Cowboys - win, lose or draw.
While serving as civilian contractor in Afghanistan, Tracy met and married his loving and devoted wife, Mira Rumph officially on May 4, 2010. They later returned to the United States and held a ceremony stateside on September 11, 2010.
Tracy was preceded in death by his father, Horace D. Rumph; mother, Ethel Lee Rumph; and father-in- law, Ruslan Sargaldaev.
"King Rumph" leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Mira; children Tracy Jr of Syracuse, NY, Jessica and Dean both of Richmond, VA and Evgenii and daughter-in-law Lisa both of Russia; grandchildren Shardayzah, Imearah and Sariyah all of Syracuse, NY and Kaila and Kwame Jr both of Richmond, VA; sisters Eva Mae, Rosemary, Shirley, Taneshel all of Warner Robins, GA, Olga and Asel both of Russia; brothers Kenny and Bradley (cousin) both of Warner Robins, GA; uncles Robert of Algona, WA and Anthony of Perry, GA; aunts Teresa of Perry, GA and Connie of Atlanta, GA; mother-in-law Valentina of Russia; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, other family members and friends.
