1st Lady Annie L. Thompson “A Devoted Wife & Loving Mother” On July 18th, 1948 the Lord Blessed Usher Northern and Lola Floyd with a baby girl they named, Annie L. Northern. At the age of 3yrs old her Mother passed away but GOD blessed her with Carrie Mae Northern to step in and become the Mother she never knew. Their bond was inseparable. In 1967, Annie L. Northern met her soulmate Willie E. Thompson Sr. at her birthday party in Powersville, Ga while he was playing in the band. 1 yr later, Annie L. Thompson was united in Holy Matrimony to Willie E. Thompson Sr. on Dec. 9th, 1968 and remained together for 51yrs before he passed away April, 2019. Annie began her walk with Christ early in life. She read, believed and prayed daily but most important of all she was a doer of GOD’S Word. She was an early entrepreneur, opening her home up as a day care for her husband Co-workers on Robins Air Force Base. She worked briefly cleaning hotels rooms until her and her husband open their very successful income tax business, A&W Income Tax Service in 1990 till this present day. They would go on and open their own Church, Open Bible Church Outreach Ministries. From 2008-2019 they ministered to several nursing homes. She enjoyed cooking, reading (Her Bible Daily), traveling in their RV from Louisiana, New York, Tennessee (Pigeon Forge Every December), Virginia and Canada right along with them was her lifelong childhood friend that was a sister to her, Sister Laverne Canady. She was Preceded by her Husband (Willie E. Thompson Sr), Son (Phillip Thompson), Her Parents, 3 Brothers and 2 Sisters. She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life; Daughter, Melanise Thompson; Sons: Willie E. Thompson Jr & his wife Aretha Scott Thompson, Steven Thompson. Life Long Friend Sister Laverne Canady, Two Sister in laws Renae Davis and Marie Mills and her husband CJ Mills; 22 Grandchildren; 30 Great Grandchildren and a host of faithful friends and family including DOC Woodson, Niece Linda Dixon, Nephew Daniel Northern, Dorothy & Suzette, Laquita Smith and her husband Charles Smith, Mattie Thomas and Raymond Clay. 1st lady Annie L. Thompson leaves a loving legacy and an example of a “Virtuous Woman” for us to all learn from and grow. Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant.
