Andrew L. Ferguson, Jr. was born in Warner Robins, Georgia on March 25, 1945 to the parentage of Andrew L. Ferguson, Sr., and Margaret Thomas Ferguson. He grew up in Elberta, Georgia. He joined Greater Springfield Missionary Baptist Church of Warner Robins, Georgia at an early age and went on to hold various positions in the church, including Trustee and Deacon.
Andrew was educated in the Houston County School system, and was a graduate of Houston County Training School. He held various employment positions during his early career, including postman and salesman. His passion for sales eventually led him to his 40-year career owning and operating various automobile dealerships throughout the southeast. When not working, he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family.
He married his wife, Drunell (nΓ©e Thomas), in May 1964, and to the union were born three children: Dwayne Ferguson, Damon (Monica) Ferguson, and Dr. Adrianne Ferguson; and six grandchildren: Miles, Nyah, Leah, Elise, Alyssa, and Cameron.
He is survived by his brother, Johnny Ferguson, a son, Gerald Allen, and was preceded in death by his sisters, Lucy Ferguson-Hunt, Jeanette Rutherford, and Eddie Mae King.
Andrew had a gregarious personality and enjoyed making people laugh. Memories of Andrew will be cherished by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
