Pastor Russell Leon Sheppard of Pelham, Ga, passed on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at his residence. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Bloominglight Baptist Church, 3502 Mill Pond Rd., Pelham, Ga., Dr. Charles Gilbert, Pastor-Officiating. Burial will follow in Pelham Memorial Gardens.
He will be out for public viewing Friday, 5PM-7PM

Russell was a great person and friend. I enjoyed working with him at the Sheriff's Office. He always had time to sit and we woukd knock around ideas on how to handle situations. He will be greatly missed, but he is healthy now and he is with his Lord. God bless the Sheppard family. He will be truly missed.
