Obituary:

Alberta Edison Sullivan was born May 30th, 1944, to the late Ocie and Nezzie Edison in Collins, Mississippi. She was the third child of four girls. Alberta graduated from Carver High School in Collins, Ms. in 1957. While in high school, she was a star basketball player for four years.

Alberta migrated to Kosciusko, Ms. with her husband, the late John D. Sullivan. She worked as teachers assistant in the school system, a CNA and Dietarian at Attala County Nursing Center, and retired as a Director for the Kosciusko Group Home. After retirement, she spent most of her time actively serving at Christian Liberty M.B. Church. She was a dedicated friend to the friendless and was always willing to help anyone in need.

Alberta transition her life May 17th, 2023, in her home in Kosciusko.

Alberta E. Sullivan leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters Regina Sullivan of Byram, Ms. Victoria Sullivan, and Joan (Marvin) Myles Jr. of Kosciusko, Ms; two sisters, Orstein Epson and Mary Gilmore of Collins, Ms. a host of family members and friends and poodle named “Ace”!
