Richard Floyd, Jr., son of the late Isabella T. Floyd and the late Richard Floyd, Sr., was born March 22, 1947, in Hampton County, South Carolina.
He received his education in the public schools of Hampton County.
At an early age, Richard moved to Savannah, Georgia. In 1996, he relocated back to South Carolina.
Richard obeyed the gospel at an early age, and became a baptized member of Goodwill Baptist Church, Luray, SC. He served faithfully on the Usher Board until his health began to decline.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by (2) Brothers: Larry Floyd and Verdelle Floyd, Sr.
On Friday, February 21, 2025, our Heavenly Father saw fit to call Richard home from labor to reward.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: (1) Brother: Clarence Floyd; Luray, SC; (4) Sisters: Marraih(Richard) O’Banner; Brooklyn, NY; Roselee(Alexander) Blake; Atlanta, GA; Essie Bell Forrester and Elaines Jones; both of Gifford, SC; (2) Aunts: Lucille Floyd; Lexington, NC; Anna Bryant; Ft. Lauderdale, FL; (1) Sister – In – Law: Rosa Lee Floyd; Hampton, SC. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
