“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is a laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love is appearing.” 2 Timothy 4: 7-8

My Last Request
Please don’t say that I gave up; I just gave in. Don’t say I lost the battle, for it was God’s war to lose or win. Please don’t say how good I was, but that I did my best. Just say, I tried to do what's right, to give the most I could, not less. I want no more than I deserve, no extras, just my due.
“A SERVICE ABOVE SELF”
Please remember to keep the Gordon family lifted in prayer.

My most sincere and deepest condolences to Vivian's family. I met her almost 5 years ago and she and bonded instantly. We talked/ texted weekly. We called each other sister. She was the sister I've always wanted. I'm so happy that I was able to spend a minutes with her the day before she passed. My heart is broken. Prayers for the family. We loved her, but God loves her best. RIP sweet sister.

My deepest condolences to the Orr family. Viv, my friend and classmate of 71,I'll never forget your affectionate smile. 🙏 RIP
We will miss our beautiful cousin. She always made us laugh, and cared so deeply for her family. In her last days, she made no mention of her own troubles but instead asked if there was anything she could do to help us as our mother grew ill. A special person, indeed. Rest peacefully, Viv.
My deepest condolences to the Orr and Gordon family. May the memories of your loved one bring you comfort and peace. I am praying for the family.
My heart is so heavy right now. Viv, aka "Tight" or "Miss Tighty Ighty" was my college roommate for three (3) years at South Carolina State. What was mine was hers and what was hers was mine. She was a part of my family and I was a part of hers. Rarely does friendship span decades as ours did. No, we didn't talk often but when we did, we laughed and talked for hours and hours. As we ended our conversation, we never failed to say " I love you". We were both diagnosed with cancer, and often talked about how the diagnosis affected our lives; all while bringing us closer to the Lord. Viv loved Jerry, his family, her family, her friends, and the Lord. While I'm sad my dear friend is physically away from us all, I know she is in a much better place. I know that we will see each other again, for the Scripture declares .."to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"! I will miss you TIghty Ighty. I love you.

Mrs. Vivian was a sweet person and a wonderful person to know. She had such a giving spirit. Every time you went to her and Jerry's house, she was always giving you something, food, candy, something to drink or just whatever she had. She will be truly missed, and it was a pleasure to have had the opportunity to meet a fine person as Mrs. Vivian. You have fought a good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith and now it is time for you to receive your crown. Continue to Rest in Paradise!!!
