~My Life Story~
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" (II Timothy 4:6)
Isaac Lee "Ike" Dobson, greeted life on October 29, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Otis Lee Dobson Sr., and the late Wilean Dobson.
At an early age, Isaac recognized the importance of Christ in his life, and he became a baptized member of the Long Branch Baptist Church. He attended the public schools of Hampton County.
Ike, as he was affectionately called, was full of love, life, and laughter. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, above all he enjoyed dressing fashionably, by wearing the latest fashions.
He was employed as an Engineer with The Sheraton Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. He later found employment with Georgia Pacific. Later in life, he became an entrepreneur of two sports bars, while obtaining employment with Boyd Management until his retirement.
Ike was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Laverne Bowman Dobson and this union was blessed with one daughter.
Our loved one has been taken, but God has gained another angel. On Saturday, September 8, 2018, Ike was called home to be with the Lord. Peace comes to us in knowing that he is not suffering with pain and hopelessness. As he enters his new life, he will be greeted with love from his parents, the late Otis and Wilean Dobson, one son, Demond Bartell, and one brother, Willie Dobson.
Preserving his memories are: Five daughters; Isaaca (De'Varus) Tyson, Estill, South Carolina, Tawanda (Clark) Stephens, Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Ananasa Wright, Gastonia, North Carolina, Lor'Teshia Dobson, Orangeburg, South Carolina, and Katori Wright,Gastonia, North Carolina; One son; Craig Loadholt, Beaufort, South Carolina; Four brothers; Oscar Dobson, Brunson, South Carolina, Otis (Deborah) Dobson, Columbia, South Carolina, Marion (April) Dobson, Bamberg, South Carolina, and Darnell Dobson, Columbia, South Carolina; Three sisters; Val (Alexander) Newton, Estill, South Carolina, Adeline (Norman) Council, Brunson, South Carolina, and Myrtis (Frank) Williams, Denmark, South Carolina; Eight grandchildren; Two great-grandchildren; Special friend: Cherry Jones, Allendale, South Carolina; A host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and sympathizing friends.
