Obituary For Marcus Allen Haynes

Today we gather to celebrate the life and legacy of a devoted father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Marcus Allen Haynes was born on October 24, 1986, in Charleston County, South Carolina to Evangelist Janet Williams and the late Robert Haynes, Sr.

At an early age, he joined Efferson Missionary Baptist Church, Nixville, South Carolina. “Spottie Da Boss,” as he was affectionately called by his loving family and friends, was educated in the public schools of Hampton County District #2. He later graduated from the Military School, Allendale, South Carolina. Marcus was a jack of many trades to include landscaping and electronics. He was employed with Tico, Ridgeland, South Carolina and Greenery Landscape, Bluffton, South Carolina During his leisure time, he loved fishing, riding motorcycles, watching football (Atlanta Falcons), and watching basketball (Chicago Bulls). Marcus loved wearing his cowboy boots and his cowboy hats. Above all, he loved spending quality time with family and friends.

In addition, to his father he is preceded in death by: (1) Brother: Robert Lee Haynes; (1) Step Brother: Myron Davis; Paternal Grandparents: Leonard and Cora Grant; Maternal Grandfather: Richard Williams, Sr.; (1) Uncle: Richard Williams Jr.; (3) Aunts: Jackie Michelle Williams – Bennett, Joyce Williams, and Melissa Williams – Loadholt.

Marcus transitioned from his earthly home on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Hampton Regional Medical Center; Varnville, South Carolina.

He leaves to cherish fond memories: Loving Mother: Evangelist Janet Williams; Estill, SC; (6) Children: Jordan Weathersbee; Barnwell, SC; Zaiden Haynes; Beaufort, SC; Ariel and Aiden Haynes; Varnville, SC; Ryan Mole; Allendale, SC; and Cameron Haynes; Greenville, SC; Loving Grandmother: Florrie Jane Williams; Estill, SC; (1) Sister: Ashley (Qwinten) Buckner; Hampton, SC; (2) Step- Sisters: Felicia Davis; Estill, SC; and Takirah Williams; Varnville, SC; (1) Step - Brother: Pastor G. Lydell Mungin, Estill, SC; (8) Aunts: Evangelist Jacklyn Williams; Savannah, GA; RichieDean Williams; Augusta, GA; Janea Garvin; Charleston, SC; Ethel Priester, Nerva Edwards; both of Varnville, SC; Wilena Smart; Fairfax, SC; Johnny Mae Wright; Ridgeland, SC; Ruby Lee Green; Savannah, GA; (4) Uncles: Arthur Smart, Sr., Estill, SC; Marion Lee (Sarah) Williams; Estill, SC; Mac Arthur (Andrea) Williams; Furman, SC; and Justin Garvin; Charleston, SC. A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and sympathizing friends.
