~OBITUARY~

Darlene Smart affectionately known as "Sexy D," was born to Mrs. Nancy White on July 25, 1964, in Allendale County.

She attended the public schools of Allendale County. She later furthered her studies at Denmark Technical College, Denmark, South Carolina. At an early age, she confessed Christ as her Savior and became a baptized member of Jackson Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Brunson, South Carolina.

She was employed with Colbert Plywood for numerous years.

Darlene never met a stranger. If you ever came in contact with her, when you depart from her you would have an everlasting memory. She had a personality like no other, and a smile that could light up any room. Darlene was the life of any party. Her favorite saying was, "I'm the one you call Darlene, PERIOD! Come clean, I got a BITE." Darlene had a unique style, that no one could emanant. She was "ONE OF A KIND!"

Above all, Darlene loved her children and grandchildren, but her mother was her pride and joy.

On Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Doctors Hospital, Augusta, Georgia she made her peaceful transition to be with the Lord.

As she enters her new life, she will be greeted with love from her son, Russell Smart.

Darlene's departure has left a tremendous void in her home and in the lives of her beloved mother and step-father: Nancy (Kenneth) White, Fairfax, SC; (3) Sons; Steven Smart, Fairfax, SC, Marquis Smart, Allendale, SC, and Joshua Smart, Aiken, SC; (1) Daughter: Autumn Smart, Atlanta, GA; (7) Grandchildren: Tyqueze Smart, Fairfax, SC., Zyrion Devoe, and Derwin Devoe, both of Atlanta, GA., Rhy'Ann Platts, Fairfax, SC., Darreonia Smart, Allendale, SC, Khloe Smart, New Jersey and Justice Smart, Aiken, SC; (3) Sisters: Hermene Smart, Lakeland, FLa., Doris Walden, Allendale, SC and Mae Joyner, FL.; (1) Brother: Daryl Joyner, North Augusta, GA.; (4) Aunts: Retha Miley and Carolyn Allen both of Fairfax, SC., Shirley (Leon) Gibson, Lauderhill, Fl., and Rose (Lewis) Taylor, Newark, New Jersey; (7) Uncles: Frank Allen Jr., Fairfax, SC., Angus Ritter, Sycamore, SC., Herbert Jackson, Jr., Bronx, NY., Rodson Jackson, Chester (Barbara) Jackson, Ricky Jackson, and Jackie (Corrine) Jackson all of Ft. I already miss our nonstop laughter sessions. My Mother told me to look you up, when I got to Fairfax, so many years ago. She said, "You'll know her, when you see her. Tell my Girl, hey."
