Pearly Rankin-Smith transitioned on February 24, 2024 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She was born on February 14, 1953 in Monroeville, Alabama to the late John and Mazie Betts. Pearly leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family and community.
Pearly was a dedicated educator, having earned a Bachelor’s degree in education from Florida Atlantic University. She worked for the School District of Palm Beach County until her retirement in 2020. Beyond her professional career, Pearly also served as a compassionate caregiver in Palm Beach.
A faithful member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Pearly actively participated in the Nursing Guild and served as a supervisor at the former Mount Olive Child Care Center.
