The late Glenda A. Lloyd was born October 18, 1966 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the parents of Elouise and Frank A. Lloyd, Sr.
Glenda matriculated through the Broward County School System to graduate from Plantation High in the class of 1984; later to attend The International School of Fine Arts in Miami, Fl. Glenda later became employed with the Broward County School Board in which she held various positions during her 28 year tenure in the school system with her final job title being that of a Budget Analyst.
Glenda was introduced to the faith & accepted Christ at an early age as a member of the Non-denominational Church of the Living God under the leadership of the late Lillie Mae Hunter along with her father; Reverend Frank A. Lloyd Sr.
Glenda continued in Ministry accompanying her Father throughout her Youth as he transitioned into the Pastoral Leadership of Hope Outreach Ministries in which she faithfully served alongside her siblings in Ministry. As an adult Glenda later joined the Lighthouse Worship Center COGIC family. There she served as a faithful member and actively became involved in the church through the Young Women Christian Council (YWCC) and Pastor’s Care Committee until such time her health challenges prevented her from consistent participation in Ministry.
Glenda has been a source of encouragement and inspiration for all that knew her; she had an infectious smile that could light up any room and enjoyed spending time with family & friends; she was definitely an atmosphere changer. Through Glenda’s eyes and heart, her greatest goal & accomplishment was that of being a loving & devoted Mother to her daughter.Glenda’s faith and firm foundation in Christ; remaining as her source of strength, is what allowed her to fight until her finish and she will be greatly missed.
