Larrain Stinson Massey, 63, humbly bowed to God's will peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
She was the daughter of the late Deacon Robert Stinson Sr. and Lena Dawkins Stinson.
Larrain excepted Christ at an early age and joined Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Usher Board, Gospel Choir and a Sunday School Member. She later joined Prosperous Revival Temple Holiness Church under the leadership of Bishop Billy McKinney. She was a member of the Choir, Praise and Worship Team and Mother of the Church.
She was educated in the Lancaster County School District and graduated from Buford High School in 1979. She worked many years at JC Penney and B.C. Moore and Son.
Left to cherish fond memories are her husband, Andre Massey; three sisters, Mary S. Jones, Sarah S. (Edgo) Thompson and Helen S. Dixon all of Lancaster, SC; four brothers, Robert Stinson Jr. (Beverly), Rev. Dr. Bennie L. Stinson ( Rev. Reva), Myron Stinson (Ann) and McKinley Stinson (Beverly), Mother-in-Law; Priscilla Massey, Father-in-Law, Aaron Ford; sister-in-law, Luciana Ford; brother-in-law; Derek Massey; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. A lifelong friend Ms. Dezell Robinson of Buffalo, New York and a childhood friend Priscilla J. Hunter of Charlotte, NC.
Larrain was preceded in death by a sister Virginia McDow (J.W.)
Special thanks to her caregivers Annie Jean Lathan and Michelle Truesdale and special thanks to the EMS Workers of Lancaster County.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church by Bishop Billy McKinney, Pastor with burial in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at McMullen Funeral Home from 1 pm- 5 pm.
