Barbara A. Walker was born in Blytheville, Arkansas June 19, 1955, to Robert and Elvie Holloman Talley. Barbara grew up and attended school in the Blytheville School District and was a member of New Mount Olive Baptist Church. Following high school, Barbara was employed by Montgomery-Wards and several local factories.
Barbara transitioned on Friday May 26, 2023, at her home. She was 67 years old.
She leaves to cherish precious memories her husband, Curtis Walker, Sr. of the home; one son, Attorney Curtis (Chandra) Walker, Jr; two daughters Jill (Don) Fleming and Rachel Walker-Rand; grandchildren, Ryley, McKinley, Marley, Mace, and Maverick all of Blytheville, Arkansas, one brother, Archie (Mozetta) Allen of Blytheville, Arkansas; two sister Beatrice Holmes of Kankakee, Illinois; and Joanne Fleming of Blytheville, Arkansas and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 3,2023 at 10:30 a.m. until services began at 12:00 noon at New Mount Olive Baptist Church, 534 Maple Street, Blytheville, Arkansas. Reverend Douglas Echols is the pastor.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon. Minister Eddie Echols will deliver the eulogy with interment to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery
