Dorsey James Easton, of Blytheville, Arkansas formerly of Chicago, Illinois was born July 3, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois to his parents, Emile and Vinella Easton. Dorsey accepted Christ at an early age. Dorsey graduated from Harlan High School in 1982. After high school, Dorsey was employed at Concord Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Dorsey was also a Michel Jackson fan; he owned a Michael Jackson collection that he didn’t want anyone to even touch. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Chicago Bears; and let us not forget his love of Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pies. Dorsey was preceded in death by his father, Emile Easton and his mother, Vinella Easton, and his baby sister, Jackie Easton. Dorsey passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in Heritage Square Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 59. Dorsey leaves to cherish his memory, one great-aunt, Lizzie Granger of Memphis, Tennessee, three aunts, Annie Bell Lacy the wife of the late Zeak Lacy of Blytheville, Arkansas; Doris Mattie Lacy the wife of the late James Lacy of St. Louis, Missouri; and Bobbie Lacy the wife of the late Roy Lacy of Gardena, California; One God-brother, Terrence Newby of Chicago, Illinois who was Dorsey’s right-hand man, Two God-sisters,: Kisha Jackson (Steven) and their children TaKia Babbitt, TeSean Jackson, and Tristain Jackson all of Chicago, Illinois; and Tyiesha M. Doss of Stuttgart, Arkansas; Special friends, Mose and Lynn Kincaid, Estella, and Arnetta all of Chicago, Illinois, and a host of loving family and friends whose lives were all touched by Dorsey. He will forever be remembered and always held in our hearts. Visitation will be held Friday, February 10, 2023 at 10:30 in the chapel of McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division Street, Blytheville, Arkansas. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 with Reverend Odale Jones, pastor of First Missionary Church, Blytheville delivering the eulogy.
