The first of three, Jerome Slaton, was born on June 8, 1965, to John and Irene Slaton. He departed this life on September 22, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Bowles Slaton. At an early age, Jerome joined Woodbury Miracle Fellowship Center Church. He graduated from Feldwood High School, class of 1983. He worked as a supervisor for XPO Logistics for two years. Jerome Slaton leaves to cherish his precious memories: his four sons, Deon (Monica) Slaton of Sanford, FL, Joshua Slaton of Atlanta, GA, Devon Slaton of Atlanta, GA, and Jionni Slaton; one daughter, Miracle Slaton of Jackson, MS; his father, John Wesley Slaton of Douglasville, GA; three brothers and one sister, Buddy Evans of Atlanta, GA, Quintin (Taresa) Slaton, Sr., of Ellenwood, GA, Keithen (Larika) Slaton of Douglasville, GA, and Portia Slaton of Jonesboro, GA; grandfather, Roy Moody of Atlanta, GA; two granddaughters, Cari and Myah Slaton of Sanford, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and a special friend, Andrea Taylor of Jackson, MS. Jerome was the life of the party, always willing to help others. He never met a stranger. He was uplifting and high spirited. He was a great story teller. He will be truly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
May God be the peace you need to get through this difficult time. Praying for the strength of the family.
