To have known Anniece “Niecey” Slaton was to love her. She touched the lives of many people with her beautiful smile and greetings of love. She loved everyone and never met a stranger... Anniece “Niecey” Slaton was born on May 22, 1957, to the late Johnnie Mae Brown-Henry and John Thomas Henry. “Niecey” departed her life on December 7, 2021. She attended Woodbury High School. She loved her hometown, Woodbury, Georgia. She was employed briefly by Goody Products, as well as Smitty’s Cafe for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie Mae Brown-Henry and John Thomas Henry; her siblings, Bernice Prather and Charles Henry; her first great-grandchild, Baby Denver Wright (Tatrika and Nicholas); her nephew and two nieces, Derrick Prather, Sophia (Azell) Echols, and Tonisha “Tay” Henry; and brother-in-law, Reverend George Prather. She leaves to cherish her memory: a loving husband, Randy Slaton; her beloved and only daughter, Tracey (Carlos) Dixon; a second daughter, Terra Mahone; four stepchildren, Derrick Slaton of Hogansville, Tyrone Slaton of Griffin, LaRhonda Slaton, and LaShaunda Slaton- Horton, both of Newnan, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Tatrika Holsey, CarVonte Dixon, Carlos Dixon, Jr., CarZaria Dixon, DeGuan Harris, Tanizhia McKee; two great-grandchildren, Madison Harris and Zyaire McKee; three step-grandcildren; sister-in-law, Marie Slaton; brother- in-law, Randolph Pranther; five special friends that were near and dear to her heart, Willie “Buck” Holmes, Danny Prather, Delphine Gaston, Jacqueline “Pookie” Brooks, and Dorothy “Sista” Parks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
