Deborah LaCora Jackson McCall was born on November 25, 1952, to Yancey Jackson and Velader Williams Jackson in Mobile, Alabama.
She began her Chrisitan journey at a very early age and was a very faithful, loyal and devoted member of St. Thomas AME Zion Church. Deborah was educated at the Baldwin County High School class of 1971 and earned her Bachelor of Science from Alabama State University in 1975. She was gainfully employed for 26. years as Adult Services Social Worker and retired in February 2004.
Deborah, affectionately known as Mama2, enjoyed spending time with family. She adored her grandkids. She was very active in her church. She served the following roles: Deaconess, Christian Education, Secretary, Trustee Board, Class leader, Stewart board and Sunday School teacher. Deborah loved window shopping and thrifting. She enjoyed bringing joy to others from giving personalized snack bags to others or giving out random trinket gifts. She was very crafty and could make banners, costumes, cards, etc. She was a great speaker and recited poetry. She put thought into every action and poured love into people.
Deborah LaCora Jackson McCall transitioned from time to eternity on August 2, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents Yancey Jackson Velader Williams Jackson (parents); Randolph McCall (son)Jason Alexander McCall (grandchild)Reina McReynolds (grandchild) and Dennis Jackson (brother).

I was incredibly saddened to hear that Deb passed. She was always so thoughtful and kind. She will truly be missed. I take comfort in knowing that she is amongst all of our other dear love ones and the Father himself. Rest well dear cousin.

I remember I was 4 years old and one of our favorite things to do was watching Gulf Coast Wrestling. So one day she said jerrell, I learn the figure 4 deathlock was see? So she gets our legs all locked up and we could get out lol I cried so hard. She was laughing and calling MouhDear to break the lock. I can hear momma saying Deb why you do that lol
