Sheila Watson Berry was born to the late Rudolph Watson, Sr. and the late Selena Watson in Harrisburg, PA. She passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 28, 2025.
She attended Harrisburg High School and retired from The Patriot-News.
In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music, watching Kentucky basketball and was a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. She also loved playing pinochle with her friends and spending time with her family.
Sheila was preceded in death by her loving son, Troy L. Berry, Sr.; her brother, Ronald L. Watson; her two sisters, Sharon Watson and Vera Watson Pettis; her two grandchildren, Arashae S. Harvey and Troy L. Berry, Jr. and her brother-in-law, Julian βGibbyβ Pettis.
She leaves behind to celebrate her life, four loving children, Johnathan E. Berry, Phyllis M. (George, Jr.) Harvey, both of Harrisburg, PA, Roger L. Berry, Jr. (Christel Roberts) and Kenneth C. Berry, both of Lexington, KY; her siblings, Rudolph (Carita) Watson, Jr. of Aurora, CO, Christine Watson and fiancΓ© James Fritz, Wanda Watson, all of Harrisburg, PA, Rev. Avis Corbin of Ellicott City, MD and Kenneth (Wanda) Watson of Harrisburg, PA; two uncles, one aunt, 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Sheila's life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025 in The Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
