Obituary For Robert Bellamy

Robert Lee Bellamy, Jr., born to the late LuBertha Clark and Robert Bellamy, Sr., transitioned from his Earthly home to his Heavenly home at UPMC Carlisle at the age of 68 on April 11, 2024.

Robert was more affectionately known as “Mattie” by friends and family. He attended school in both Cleveland, OH and Harrisburg, PA. “Mattie” loved being around friends and family. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy football fan who loved Cadillacs. He would listen to old school R&B and could often be seen riding around the city in his chair with the music going.

In addition to his parents, “Mattie” was preceded in death by his two sisters, Juanita and Louise Bellamy; his favorite cousin/sister Alfreda Bellamy and his brother, Deacon Anthony Ray Bellamy, Sr. He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife, Wanda Chase of Harrisburg, PA; his son, Taboo Bradley of Benner, PA; his daughter, Nukeesha King of Harrisburg, PA; his “daughter in love”, Bethany Waiwada of Harrisburg, PA; his brother, Lawrence Bellamy of Harrisburg, PA; his sisters, Carrie Young of Statesville, North Carolina, Dorothy Johnson of Salisbury, North Carolina and Elizabeth Miller of Salisbury, North Carolina; his 18 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

His life will be celebrated on Friday, April 26, 2024 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with a viewing and visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and a horse and carriage ride through uptown Harrisburg.
