Moses Aganyina “Momo” Egun died at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA on March 8, 2024.
Moses was born in Athens, Ohio to Dr. Paul Mawo Egun and Grace Shetu Egun. Both Grace and Paul are of Nigerian descent.
Moses was a loving son to his mother. Everyone that met Moses described him as having an infectious personality that displays itself as intentional kindness. Moses loved music and dance. He played the tambourine and African drums. His musical passion focused on Gospel music. Moses also participated in the special Olympics running relays in track and field. Moses was a member of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Fairview Pennsylvania.
Moses is survived by his mom, dad, paternal uncles, aunts, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by paternal and maternal grandparents, his aunts, Mama Deborah Abdul and Mrs. Alice Abraham Akale.
Moses attended school in several counties across Ohio. He attended Beacon school, Athens school district, Athens County, Ohio. School of Bright Promise, Jefferson County, Ohio, Millcreek Elementary school district in Erie, PA. While in Erie, he was actively engaged in advocating for the needs of children with special needs and disabilities in the role of Millcreek and Erie County Advocate, MECA, United Cerebral Palsy Little Ambassador for about over 7 years. Moses attended Hershey middle and high schools in Hershey, PA.
During his tenure as a Little Ambassador for Meca (Millcreek and Erie County Advocate), Moses teamed up with former Governor Tom Ridge, the first Homeland Security Secretary for President George Bush to ‘fund raise” monies that were used for supporting advocates and the construction of wheelchair ‘ramps” for children dependent of wheelchairs; items that were not funded by Medicaid. Although, the annual fund drives were fun events, Moses used the opportunity to raise enormous amounts of money through the annual live telethons.

His life will be celebrated with a viewing and visitation on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton and funeral on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Sanctuary of House of Shiloh Outreach International Church (Hosoic), Bishop Tony Kixiofie, General Overseer/Founder, held in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3700 Rutherford Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111 and burial in Paxtang Cemetery.
