JOSEPH J. MOORE, 36, of Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital. He was born in Harrisburg, son of Eunice Easter and James B. Moore, Sr., a 2004 graduate of Harrisburg High School, where he played football for the Harrisburg Cougars. He also played baseball for the M.O.S.E.L.F. Youth League on the team Penn Credit. Joseph accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Turner Memorial Baptist Church. He was employed by Apex Health Care as a Health Care Coordinator. Joseph loved his job caring for others. His “contagious smile” naturally brought a smile to the face of anyone who knew him. Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, Jeremiah Moore; his maternal grandmother, Shirley Easter and his paternal grandmother, Betty Moore. He leaves to cherish memories of him, his mother, Eunice Easter; his father, James B. Moore, Sr.; his daughter, Dream Moore; his sister, Jodiah Moore; his brothers, James B. Moore, Jr. and Joshua Moore and a host of other relatives and friends. His life will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton, with viewing from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery. Face masks will be required for all attendees. Live Streaming of the service will be available on Major H. Winfield Funeral Home’s YouTube page.
