My condolences and prayers for the Jackson family and friends. Frances Waters
Dr. Jackson and I have shared many moments of respect and friendship through the years. I united with The First Baptist Church of Steelton where she was a member and the Director of Christian Education. I was assigned to her committee and I enjoyed serving with her. We became friends as I learned more and more about Christian Education. She was very instructive and kind. Her knowledge was very impressive and I admired her work ethics. She shall be remembered always in my heart.
To my family, Cousin Jackie was a complete joy. I fondly remember all our trips to visit everyone, the annual football game, family time, a complete package. You will be missed dearly but your love remains. I chose the white candle, a sign of peace, which you can now enjoy. To my cousins, Vida and Mark, i have you in my prayers.
My deepest sympathy to Dr. Jackson's family...may you feel His loving arms around you during this time. I am so thankful for the blessing of Dr. Jacqueline Brown Jackson in my life throughout many years. It began with having Homeroom and a wonderful English class with Mrs. Brown to having a long, wonderful friendship which, later, included my daughter. I will always remember our hugging after Steel-High's winning game against John Harris (Fall 1968), our shared love of music, and her beautiful, caring smile with the twinkle in her eyes. She will be deeply missed! Clydene Rudy Strauss
I want to express my sincere condolences to Dr Jacqueline's family, she left a great legacy and she will always be remembered!! Lucille Wright Ray ( a former student )
I knew Dr. Jackson as Mrs. Brown when she was an English teacher at Steel High, circa 1962. She was not only a caring and competent educator but also the person who gave me confidence and encouragement to pursue education as a career. I became an English teacher and then advanced my education largely because of the guidance that she provided. The insight and compassion that she shared gave many of us a solid push in the right direction. May she rest in peace. J. W. Heckert, Ed.D.

From our first real meeting at her sister-in-law Phoebe Brown's Christmas Eve party through our choir's farewell concert to her as she departed for Tennessee, Dr. Jackson has been a friend and a blessing to me, as she has been to so many in our community. She was such a good teacher and role model that she mastered the art of exhorting and edifying you even in casual conversation. I smile now at her memory even as my eyes glisten, and I am grateful that we both served and serve a Master who has promised that her separation will be brief and temporary--so long as we follow the example that He and she have set.
To the Family,
It has always been a joy to sing with Dr. Jackson with CAMA! Such a sweet and beautiful woman.
May it be of comfort to know that we are praying for you all. With Prayers of Peace & Comfort, Rev. Dr. Brandon T. Carter
