I want to start by saying thank you. Thank you for being in every last single memory of my life. As a kid you literally couldn't peel me from your side because I was so glued to you. All of my childhood consists of being with you from you taking me to see the bird " Charlie" , to lifting me up and throwing me in the air yelling "one time". Even your favorite pecan cookies that you loved and introduced to me as a kid stuck with me to this day cause I can remember you buying them and me going after you eating from the pack. To this day I buy a pack every week and go through them. You've stuck with me all the way from taking me back and fourth to school to running errands for me to even when I was 16 taking me back and fourth to work I can go on and on but I'm saying these things because I hope that you can see it and realize that everything you've done with and for me has been greatly appreciated. You were a strong man and a pillar who I looked up to and I hope you realized that. One last memory I have of you is my last visit on Throop a few days ago when I was walking out the door you gave me a farewell wave. That will always stick to my heart and will be my last memory of you that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I love you Grandad and I'm sure heaven is rejoicing to have gained another angel. your grandson, Yondell

What can I say, you were truly a gift from God. I can never come up with enough words to express how thankful I am to call you dad. I greatly appreciate the love you have shown. You granted us anything we asked, without ever complaining... you were truly the best. Your warm smile, that boisterous laugh, even those little slick comments (Lol)... I am missing you dearly. I never knew when I came around to speak to you, before the ambulance took you away and I said, "We can't go with you, but we'll be here for you", and you said "Okay", that would be our last conversation. I will forever remember those words, and forever carry you in my heart. I love you always.... your daughter, Kim
