Coonie was a joy to be around. I look forward to seeing her every summer. She would come to my brother Spence and we laugh and talk with her and my niece Debra, who really loved her. I am missing her already. Bette Cunningham Session, Carle place, NY.

My deepest condolences to the family of Ms. Sedelia Conie Gaines. I am a counselor in Mrs. Coonie Gaines' District 1. Mrs. Coonie always kept me accountable. I remember seeing her at a city council meeting one evening. She always emphasized the importance of finding someone to do your job well. I will never forget about Coonie.
