I'm sorry to hear that another one of my best friends has gone home. I couldn't come to say goodbye because of health issues. Von you will be missed. You was always by my side no matter what me, you, and Earl did. I love you my friend and will see you down the road.

I just learned today of the passing of Von , who was a dear friend of mine. I attended Central State University, Wilberforce, Ohio in 1981. I was from Albany Ga.. and quickly became friends with Von who showed me the ropes. We were friends to his end. I visited with Von as I moved to Phenix City, Ala. I thank God for letting me visit Von at his home in Columbus before he went to a nursing facility. Von you taught me a lot. I love you my brother.

Von was an extraordinary person. He brings a smile to many who knew him.
