OBITUARY:
Yakebau Cortez Head was born August 24, 1991, in Jackson, MS to Tracie Montgomery and Ortez Head. He departed this life on February 12, 2023. Milton Mayfield (who he called daddy) preceded him in death. Yakebau received his early education from Lexington Elementary School and his middle and high school education from J.J. McClain High School. Yakebau transferred to Maranatha Christian School in Minter City, MS his senior year in high school where he graduated in May of 2014. Yakebau was a member of Chief Cornerstone Deliverance Center under the leadership of his Granny-Granny, Apostle Ethel Johnson.
Yakebau leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Tracie Montgomery-Mayfield, his father , Ortez Head, four children, Ya'Myia Head(Kamayia), Melanie Thompson(Quandra), Ya'Quarius Head and De'Quarius Rowe(Delicia); four sisters: Kortnie Montgomery of Kosciusko, MS. Chantez Head of Memphis, TN, Oshirea Mayze of Yazoo City, MS;Debreyana Head of Tchula, MS; three brothers; Milton Mayfield III of Kosciusko, MS; Ortez Head Jr. of Tchula, MS and Mario Williams of Tchula, MS.; his Grandmother, Apostle Ethel Johnson (Granny-Granny), Grandfather, Clay Montgomery Sr. (Phyllis), Grandmother Erma Head-Dean (Willie), Fletcher Daniel who preceded him in death aunts: Chiquita Forrest, Tawanda Head, Jeanique Dean and Jeaneke Dean.; uncles; Clay Montgomery Jr., James Epps, Orenthal Johnson and bonus aunt, Antionette Anderson-Cotton and a host of cousins and friends whom he loved dearly.
