OBITUARY: Mrs. Roberta Patrick was born November 7, 1930, in Holmes County, MS., to the late Henry Friend and Mary Friend. She was married to the late Lonzo Patrick. Two of her children Joe Willie Patrick and Jannie Mae Moor; Two sisters Ida Friend and Alberta Johnson; and one brother Henry Friend, Jr. and who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Roberta Patrick accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized at Bethel CME Church in Acona, MS . Later in life, she joined Marcella M.B. Church where she served as President of the usher board and became a mother on the mother board. She was a faithful and devoted member until her health failed.

Mrs. Roberta Patrick was a devoted bus driver for Holmes County for many years. She loved her family, church, basketball, fishing and friends.

Mrs. Roberta Patrick departed this life on March 16, 2023. She leaves to cherish her memories; Nine daughters; Gloria Patrick(Tommy), Evelyn Conway, Essie Wilson, all of Belzoni, MS; Mary Haynes(Lionel Hayes, Sr.) of Columbus, GA, Glenda Harris of Tchula, MS, Polly Young of Birmingham, AL; Rosie Hicks of Chicago, IL, Flora Brownlee of Greenwood, MS, Lora Patrick of Jackson, MS; Three Sons; Dr. John M. Patrick, Sr.(Etoile) of Clinton, MS, William Patrick(Wanda)of Crete, IL., Jerome Patrick of Belzoni, MS; Thirty-Two Grandchildren; Eighty Great-Grandchildren, Forty-One Great Great Grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
