OBITUARY:


Marshall Lee Miller Sr., affectionately known as ‘Billy”
of Tchula, MS, beloved husband, father, grandfather,
brother, and friend passed away peacefully on
December 20, 2023. He was born June 16, 1950, to the late Edward and Limmie Miller of Holmes County.

Billy began his formative years of education at Mileston Elementary School and Tchula Attendance Center. In 1970, Billy became a proud graduate of Saints Academy located in Lexington, Mississippi. After graduation he transitioned to Saints Academy College where he completed two years of secondary education.


There was nothing more important to him than family.
In 1974, he married Marry Ann Van of Tchula, MS. Billy was employed with Belmont Steel for 34 years. After retirement, he relocated back to Tchula, MS where he enjoyed retirement, family and friends.


Loved ones that cleared the path for his peaceful
transition were his parents, Edward and Limmie Miller, two sisters, Mary Hall, Arma Hicks and brother Lee Andrew Miller.

Loved ones that will miss him until they meet again are his wife, Mary Ann Miller of Chicago, IL,; three daughters, Tonya Johnson of Memphis, TN, Yavoka “Pie” Lacy of Jackson, Mississippi and Maleka Miller of Peoria, IL.,; Two sons, Marshall Lee Miller Jr. and Dedric Miller, both of Chicago, IL.; Three Sisters, Deloris Miller, Brenda Miller and Doris Coats (Walter Coats) all of Tchula, MS and one brother Zenobia “Fat Sam” Miller of Tchula, MS., one aunt Ruby Baker of Isola, MS and one uncle Tom Jackson of Franklin, TN. Billy cherished the love he shared with his ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren, not to mention a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
