OBITUARY:

Lucile Thompson Young was born in Holmes County, Tchula, MS. on May 29, 1950, to the late Alex and Magnolia Thompson. She peacefully departed this life at her residence in Tchula, MS. on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Lucile received her education in the public school system of Holmes County at Tchula Attendance Center. She was employed 40.5 years as a cook/cafeteria manager at various schools in the Holmes County School District.

Her parents, Alex and Magnolia Thompson; on son, Eugene Whitehead and one sister Rosetta Thompson, preceded her in death.

Lucile was affectionately known as "Cile" to her close family and friends. Her passion was cooking. She was a kind person who was always willing to lend a helping hand. She served as a volunteer for many years for the Parents 4 Kids Organization/Tchula Tiger Team.

Lucile leaves to cherish her memories; Her Devoted Husband, Eugene Young, Tchula, MS; two sons; Durone Thompson and Arthur Young, Tchula, MS; four daughters; Rebecca Whitehead, Fayetteville, NC; Sharon Young, Terry, MS; Janiya Young, Yazoo City, MS and Natasha Young, Tchula, MS; nineteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
