Mr. Johnny Bernard Dale was born on May 21, 1942 to the late J. D. Greer and the late Josephine Garnett in Holmes County, MS.

Johnny B. was a graduate of Tchula Attendance Center. He entered the U. S. Army on October 28, 1964. He received several medals including the parachutist badge, Vietnamese service medal, purple heart medal, national defense service medal and combat infantry badge.

Johnny B. was an Alderman for the City of Tchula for several years. He was also a police officer for the City of Tchula. He was a community activist and volunteer a lot of his time serving the community.

Johnny B. enjoyed working with his hands. He was always working on different projects.

Johnny B. leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Erma Dale; three children; Datisha Stroud, Samatha Anderson, and Roderick Claiborne. Six grandchildren; Latayvion Stroud, Artesha Stroud, Jer'Taylin Stroud, T'Kiyah Stroud, TraMarvius Sanders and Roderick Claiborne,Jr. Two siblings preceded him in death, Arthur Dale and Junior Dale. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
