Obituary For Marva Jean Edwards

Marva Jean Edwards, 78, a resident of Caballo, NM, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. She was born on April 3, 1945, in Chickasaw, OK to Philan and Margaret Gretel (Strangfeld) Thedford. Marva was a florist and retired in 2004. She loved being a member of the Caballo Schoolhouse, the Animas Creek Community Club, and the Caballo Sewing Club. Marva was also involved in the renovation of the schoolhouse. Other activities she enjoyed were baking and sewing. Survivors include her daughters – Toi Patterson and husband, Jim, and Lynn Beltran and husband, Abe; grandchildren – Lance Davis, Erin Barfuss, AJ Beltran, and Victoria Beltran; great-grandchildren – Brock and Quinn Barfuss, and Alex, John, Mary, and Stephen Davis; siblings – Beckie Weaver, Paula Serno, Sara Thedford, and Anthony Thedford; and nephews and nieces - Chance Thedford, Stoney Thedford, Tracy Webb, Raena Guericke, and Jerri Allsup. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Gretel Thedford; and by her brother, Karl Thedford. A Memorial Celebration Service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the old Caballo Schoolhouse, 23 Woods Rd., MM26, Hwy 187, Caballo, NM 87931.
