Karen Lynn Hardcastle (Woolf), 65, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Sierra Vista Hospital in Truth or Consequences, NM. Karen was born on April 22, 1954 to Charles Dale Woolf and Ruby Vay Beauchamp. Karen was a long-time resident of Sierra County and was a retired Phlebotomist at Sierra Vista Hospital. Karen loved decorating and remodeling houses; tending to her chickens and her dogs. Karen’s number one priority was always making sure her son, JD, was well taken care of. Karen was also a loving and supportive ranchers’ wife to Dan. She is survived by her husband, Dan Hardcastle (married March 28, 2001); her children- Justin Dale DeMeritt & wife, Claudia; Josh Hardcastle; Daniel Hardcastle; Jennifer Hanzik & husband, Stuart Hanzik; Karen was also a second-mother to - Brian, Shaw and Levi Woolf. Her grandchildren- Jaysen Dale Demeritt, Cheyenne Caroline DeMeritt, Cristina Faye DeMeritt, Justin Dale DeMeritt II, Jessica Seiler, Haley Seiler, Trace Hanzik, Henri Hardcastle, Jeremiah Hardcastle, Payton Hardcastle and Kassidy Hardcastle. She is also survived by her brothers- Rudy Wayne Woolf and Andrew Floyd Woolf. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Charles Dale Woolf and mother, Ruby Vay Beauchump; a sister, Donna Dalene Woolf; and sister, Neva Charlene Wolf; along with three nieces and eight nephews. A Memorial Celebration Service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Dudley Bristow officiating.
My deepest sympathy to my Dear Friend.. I almost didnt graduate... because we rode around all day! Ooops No School for me again. Cheers to our 16,17,18. And 19 year birthdays .. We gave life hell and had a great time. I loved you and your parents. Now you are all together again.
