Mr. William Bradley Cooper, Sr., 88, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, September 6, 2024, after a brief illness. Bill was born March 23, 1936, in Chester, Georgia. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bill served as a Bishop and High Councilman in the Church. He was a devout Christian and loved his church family.
Bill retired from Fort Gordon in 2004. He served in the United States Air Force. He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and enjoyed traveling and especially his yearly trip to the mountains with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Joan Cooper. He is also survived by his sons, Bradley Cooper Jr., (Linda), David Cooper and Darin Cooper (Amy), his daughters Tina Renew (Ricky) and Jane Price. His grandchildren Brad (Laura) and Adam Cooper, Melanie Wyatt, Cassie Cooper, Kimberly Fennell (Justin), Chad Wilson, Madison Renew, Blake and Kyle Renew, Chloe Cooper, Alyssa Harris, Tucker Newport (Lacie) and Sam Newport (Katie). He is also survived by six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by his sons, Stanley and Lester Cooper, daughter Cynthia C. Wilson, granddaughter Morgan Renew and his father and mother, Ray & Estelle Cooper. He was also predeceased in death by his four sisters, Hazel Brown, Corine Harrison, Ivelyn Colson and Dollie Joe Culpepper and two brothers, Barton and Junior Cooper.
Pallbearers are his grandsons: Brad Cooper, Adam Cooper, Chad Wilson, Tucker Newport, Sam Newport, Blake Renew and Kyle Renew.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to the charity of your choice.
Chapel Services will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in Kinsey & Walton Chapel. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2700 Deans Bridge Road. The family will receive friends an hour before the service at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road. (706) 790-8858
