To the Reid family. Leon was always an inspiration and a true hero. He always welcomed me and my family with open arms much like his father, Mr. Johnny Boy Reid. He set the example of a Christian, a Father, a Brother, an Uncle and a Friend. He will be missed for his kindness and for his love of all who knew him. I am truly a better man for having known him in our small community of Thomson and for the times we were able to talk with one another. Josalyn and family I am so sorry for your loss words cannot describe the pain that I am feeling for you and the children. As you know Reid, you and I go so far back before your children were born and Reid was such a good person in which he landed a wonderful, loving and beautiful wife. Reid will be truly missed, his laugh, his smile, just everything about his was so genuine. May Father God give you the strength you need to get through this time of sadness.

Reid /G\ and I met and worked together at the Augusta Police Department in the early 1980(s) and worked together at the Augusta Regional Youth Detention Center (December/2018 until August/2019). We maintained a friendship of brotherly love for (40) years. Reverend Reid loved his wife, family, and fellow man and was professional at all times. Rest In Peace!!! You fought a good fight and now take your rest in Heaven.
