Praying for comfort for the family of Queenie Childs. I remember her fondly when she was employed at VA. Beverly Brighthop
My sister (Angie) and I would like to share a few pleasant memories of "Penny" (Queenie Mae Childs) because there were many. Penny was always a loving and caring person not only for siblings but other family members and friends. This caring started at an early age and continued in our adult life. There was never a time when either sibling couldn't call Penny with a concern or question and she didn't respond. Penny was a special person in many ways to the family. When mother and dad were not at home, guess who was in charge. Neither brother or sister ever talked back because there were consequences when our parents left home again. The immediate family always said that she was the smart one in the family long before she enrolled in Paine College pursuing a career in nursing. Thank you Penny for being a blessing in our life. ~ Angie & Vernon Beard
