Hazel Alberta Roberson Mincey, was born on December 2, 1954, in Burke County Georgia to the late Judson T Roberson and Eloise Parnell Jones. She entered into internal rest on February 28, 2024, in Doctor’s Hospital of Augusta.
At an early age, Hazel accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and joined Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Waynesboro Ga. As another chapter in her Christian walk unfolded, she became a member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church in Hephzibah Ga.
Sis. Hazel Mincey was a dedicated and faithful member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as First Lady. She was actively involved in various church ministries including the Sanctuary Choir, Deaconess Ministry, Care Ministry, and Pastor Support Ministry.
Hazel graduated from Waynesboro High School class of 1972. In her early adulthood, she was employed by Red Lobster Inc. and worked as a Food Preparer for 20+ years. As timed passed, Hazel saw the need to partner with her husband and start their family business, W and H Bovine Inc. She supported the business with great work ethics.
After years of being away from home night after night, Hazel decided to transition into the manufacturing sector. She joined the family of Covidien, a medical equipment manufacturer, where she worked several years as a Material Handler before retiring in December 2019.

Roberson, Tommy Chance, Jermaine Cooper, Larry (Cynthia) Gordon, Audra (Fanta)Gordon, Lorenzo Gordon, Jermaine Cooper, and Virginia Ann (Sterling) White, Regina Gordon, Tammy Gordon, James Bowman, Herbert (Debra) Middleton Jr., Ruthie (Woodrow) Scott, Earnestine (David)Burnett, Madelina Cookie (Charles) Middleton, Matthew Middleton, Judy Faye Middleton, Reginal (LaShonda) Middleton, Lashaun (Bernard) Middleton, Barbara(Buddy) Green;best Friend: Loretta Sherman; dear friend, Detris Gilchrist, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Springhill Baptist Church, 1830 Springhill Church Road. Interment, Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 4820 US Hwy 25, Waynesboro, Ga.
