Mr. John Edward Miller, 69, entered into rest, Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in Piedmont Augusta Hospital. He was a union member of the Local 8 Southeast International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. He retired from Savannah River Plant on July 12, 2022.
John’s legacy will be cherished by his wife, Lucille Miller; son, John E. (Kendra) Herrington; grandchildren, Nadia Herrington and Kyla Herrington; mother; Mary Alice Holloman; sisters, Ethel Miller, Ella Johnson, Essie Brown, and Bobbie Wilson; brothers, Sammy Miller, Hamp Miller Jr., Joe Miller, Ed Willie Miller, and Robert Miller; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
A celebration of life will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be Monday, March 13, 2023, from 2 PM-6 PM at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, GA. (706) 790-8858.
