Mr. Peter Daniel Copeland, Esq., (60), entered into rest, Saturday, July 29, 2023, in Doctors Hospital (Augusta, GA). He was born on November 2, 1962, to the union of Joseph Copeland and Hattie Keyes in Washington, NC.
Attorney Copeland received his formal education at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he studied law. He was a renowned and successful personal injury attorney. He made several profitable investments in real estate while maintaining a lucrative career from his office complex located in Clarkston, Georgia.
In his leisure, he enjoyed advancing his studies in various fields. He was well known to many as an excellent source of knowledge. He was always willing and able to share his knowledge with anyone who needed his help.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Copeland and Hattie Keyes; brother, Joseph Copeland, Jr.; sisters, Dolly Lawrence and Josephine Copeland; and stepfather, Fred Keyes.
Attorney Copeland’s legacy will be cherished by a sister, Lorena Worsley; brothers, Frank Copeland, Jimmy (Taiheisha) Copeland, Benny Copeland, Mackey Copeland, Billy (Gloria) Copeland, and Irvin Thigpen; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was my friend, not only my attorney of many years, but an awesome turkey eating person he was a man filled with incredible knowledge. He will be greatly missed by many Pete was a type of person that will go above and beyond he said that he gained his wings so soon , he did so much good for Community and he was very passionate about his work. It's sadness me that I've been calling for many months to find out like this. I would have been at his services as I'm sure he would have did the same for me rest in peace my friend you will never be forgotten. ... My heartfelt sympathy to family of My attorney of many years,Peter! I joked with him I met him in 1995 he was with a law firm back then, during my case he he decided to step out on his own.
