Sammie Lee Rogers entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 30, 2021. Mr. Rogers was born on October 23, 1942 to the late Alice Rogers Lyles and John Henry McWhorter. He was reared in the home of Joe Nathan and Hattie Higgins. A native of Spartanburg, SC. He was the widower of Barbara Jones Rogers.
An Outdoor Celebration of the Life of Sammie Lee Rogers will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at The J. W. Woodward Funeral Home (parking lot), 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC.
Mr. Rogers will lie in state on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC.
