Mr. Robert “Bobby” “Joe” Bratton of 1020 Bishop St., Spartanburg, SC left this earth to join his heavenly father on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
He was a native of Spartanburg County, husband of Hattie Bell Bratton. The son of the late Virginia Foster, Robert Bratton, Sr. and William Foster. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Walter Pearson, Jimmy, Lee, Pearson and Barbara Pearson.
Robert was blessed to be a carpenter, jack of all trades. He taught many on how to work on cars, add rooms to houses, create any decorative design inside a home and the list just continues to go on.
He also served his country in the United States Air Force.
Love to cherish, finding loving memories are: three sons, Mr. Dennis (Sharon) Bratton of Blythewood, South Carolina, Mr. Robert (Barbara) Bratton, III of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Mr. Randall (Demetria) Bratton of Spartanburg, South Carolina; two daughters, Miss Sylvia Bratton of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Mrs. Patricia (Troy) Suber of Spartanburg, South Carolina; brothers-in-law ; sisters-in-law; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He will be missed, but the memories will be lasting.
Service will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Burial will be in the Heritge Memorial Gardens.
