Obituary For Porter Edward Bomar, Jr.

SPARTANBURG, SC-- Porter Edward Bomar, Jr., 63, of 431 Seminole Drive passed on August 10, 2013 at his home. He is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Porter E. Bomar, Sr. and Marie Anderson Bomar. Porter Bomar was born on April 9, 1950. He graduated from Dorman High School in 1972 and worked at Hoechst Celanese for thirty-one years. He was predeceased by two brothers, Willie Bomar and Dr. David Bomar, Sr. and two sisters, Mattie Pearl Bomar and Leola Carson. Surviving are: one daughter, Tiffany R. Palmer, of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Mailee Carson and Carolyn Gist (Willie) both of Spartanburg and three brothers, Frank Bomar of Spartanburg, Jackie Bomar, of Charlotte, NC and Lester Bomar of Fayettville, NC; and three nephews reared in the nephews reared in the home, Ricky Bomar, Terry Bomar and Mike Bomar all of Spartanburg. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Foster Grove Baptist Church, 899 Foster Grove Road, Chesnee, SC. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home. Arrangements are entrusted to J. W. Woodward Funeral Home.
