Obituary For Mrs. Vivian Walker

SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Vivian Kilgore Walker, 91, of 239 High Street, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Walker was a native of Spartanburg County; she was the daughter of the late Mr. Boyce Kilgore, Sr. and Mrs. Tessie Kilgore. Mrs. Walker was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. She was retired from Siemens, Inc. and Carver Junior High School. Survivors include: her daughter, Gloria Dean of Spartanburg, SC; her sons, Gary Walker and Jerry Walker of the home, James (Dorothy) Walker of Raeford, NC and William Walker of Simpsonville, SC; her great granddaughter reared in the home, Cierra Tanner; great great-grandson, Derrie Walker, Jr., of the home; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-one great- grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren. Two sons, Raymond and Charles Walker, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel. Rev. Michael Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home. J. W. Woodward Funeral Home
