Obituary For Mrs. Connie Vance McBeth

Connie J. McBeth Pacolet, SC - Mrs. Connie Jean Vance McBeth was born on May 26, 1940 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to the late Mrs. Alberta Edwards and Mr. Perry Vance. She was the wife of Charlie McBeth, Jr. Mrs. McBeth worked at Hoechst Fibers for several years. She later worked at Siemens for over 30 years where she then retired. During that time she also received her High School Diploma. Connie gave her heart to the Lord at a very young age at Maxwell Chapel in Spartanburg, SC. Years later she joined New Salem Zion Baptist Church in Pacolet, SC where she served faithfully on the Usher Ministry, Missionary Ministry, Pastor’s Aide, and the Kitchen Committee. Mrs. McBeth was an active member of Salvation News Faith Baptist Church, of Union, SC. She was a Holy Ghost, Spirit Filled woman of God who loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her family. Mrs. McBeth was also well known for her delicious cakes and pies especially her pound cakes. She was a wonderful Seamstress who could sew any material together without a pattern and make it look beautiful. Mrs. Connie McBeth entered into eternal rest peacefully on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Evangelist Debbie Ann Vance (Ephraim) Gordon and two sisters-in-law, the Annette McBeth and the Bernice McBeth. Mrs. Connie McBeth leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Mrs. Sherri Vance (Ricky) Young of Inman, SC; her granddaughter/adopted daughter, Mrs. LaTonya Vance (Bobby) Webster, Jr of Spartanburg, SC; her granddaughter, Tameka (Cedric) F-Harris of Spartanburg, SC; her three step-sons: Mr. Cedric (Ann) McBeth of Boiling Springs, SC, Mr. Rory McBeth, Sr. of Pacolet, SC and Mr. Oren (Renee) McBeth, Sr. of Spartanburg, SC; her two sisters, Mrs. Levie Vance (James) Gentry, Sr. and Ms. Angela Jean both of Spartanburg, SC; her eleven grandchildren; her twelve great grandchildren; her in-laws, Minister Janice McBeth, Ms. Linda Sexton, Ms. Wilma Fuller, Ms. Gloria McBeth, Mrs. Shirley (Audrey) Long, Mrs. Frances (Tommy) Richardson, Rev. Sandra G. ( late Rev. John) McBeth, Mr. Thomas Gist, Mr. Richard(Barbara) McBeth all of Spartanburg, SC ; her aunt, Ms. Ida McBeth; and a host of nieces and nephews. A Celebration of the Life of Connie Jean Vance McBeth will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Interment will be in the Pacolet Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the home, 431 Spruce St., Pacolet, SC.
