Mrs. Mattie Pearl Gray, a native of Montgomery, AL, entered her eternal home on Wednesday, December 25, 2019. Visitation will be held at Ross-Clayton Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Ross-Clayton Funeral Home with Rev. Julius C. Thomas officiating. Interment in Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
She was born to the late Ella Webster and Emanuel Harvey on June 21,1934. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Jericho A.M.E. Zion Church. She later joined Mobile Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Williams, Alberta Jones and Savilla Provitt; three brothers, Willie James Harvey, Daniel Webster, and Eddie Webster. She will be forever remembered and loved by her five children, Gladys A. Gray, Cathy G. Brown, Anthony L. (Jennifer) Gray, Stanley M. Gray (Atlanta, GA),and Jacqueline G. (Rev. Julius) Thomas; five grandchildren, Tiffany Gray (Terry) Lee, Courtney A. Brown, Dominique D. Gray, Vanessa N. Gray, and Chason J. Brown; ten great grandchildren, Tadarian, Tyson and Tia Lee, Cody Brown, Antwan Gray, Zoë Webster and Ava Givan, and Chasen, Ashlynn and Chance Brown; two sisters, Dorothy Outlow (Philadelphia, PA) and Hester Smith (Atlanta, GA), and a host of nieces, nephews and other family
