Louise Fleming passed February 14, 2021.
Louise Viola Fleming was born January 27, 1922 in Winging, VA to the late Mary Jane Woodson Fleming and Tarelton Fleming.
She attended the Mid Way Mills Elementary School. At an early age she moved to New York and lived with her sister, Cora for a while. She soon became employed and was able to move to her own apartment.
In 1954 she married the love of her life, Edward A. Fleming, and they remained married for 56 years until his passing in December 2010. They lived in Flushing, New York until relocating to Spartanburg, SC over 25 years ago.
Louise was an excellent cook and loved to have family and friends over to enjoy her good cooking and hospitality.
Louise also shared many wonderful years employed by Ruth (deceased) and Leon Wildes of New York. Louise especially loved and enjoyed caring for the Wildes two sons, Mark and Michael Wildes, who have remained in contact with her for many decades.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her siblings, Artell Fleming, Charles Fleming, Abraham Fleming, Cora Miller and Elizabeth Fleming.
Louise was a member of Saint Hebron Baptist Church in Wingina, Virginia and while living in New York, she attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Port Washington, New York.
Left to cherish her memories are: her sister-in-law, Gladys Fleming; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as other family, friends, and a special neighbor, Cindy Hughes.
A Celebration of the Life of Louise Fleming will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Our hearts were sadden by her passing, but our memories will live on in the times we shared in South Carolina, and Virginia. Although we are unable to share in her final farewell, we know that god has wrapped her in his arms and given her eternal life. As our last living aunt on our father's side we will forever miss her.
